Multiple problems for town offices
STORMY weather at the weekend caused a disruption to services at the Hayle Town Council office.
Hayle Community Centre suffered roof damage and some internal flooding as well as a loss of power in some parts of the complex.
The town council issued a plea for residents to be patient as the office was temporarily unable to send and receive e-mails on Monday.
Power was restored by 1pm and the roof was repaired by Bob Penrose, who was also able to shut off the water.

Eleanor Giggal, town clerk, said there was a catalogue of incidents which were all independent of each other.
The town clerk's office team were able to mop up most of the water and are waiting for a dehumidifier to dry out the rest of the affected area.
A tree surgeon was called to make safe a tree at the rear of the building.
Ms Giggal thanked everyone for their offers of help and said the office was open and functioning again as normal by Tuesday.
