Mum-to-be continued shopping after waters broke
A Camborne pregnant mum kept her cool and continued shopping when her waters broke in a busy supermarket.
Sophie Hickmott, 21, was at Helston’s Tesco store last Wednesday with her mother, Naomi Mowberry, when she noticed her trousers were wet.
Mrs Mowberry said her daughter kept her cool and went to the toilet, but then decided to continue shopping.
She said: “She wasn’t phased at all and wanted to continue buying the essentials. We told Tesco’s customer services and then left the store. We went home and drove to hospital.”

Following several hours at Treliske doctors warned her daughter that they may have to deliver the baby via caesarian section.
The grandmother added: “Thankfully it all suddenly kicked off and he arrived without any problems the following day weighing just 5Ib 11oz, albeit four weeks early. He is gorgeous we are very proud of them both.
"He is tiny and very tired and spent 24 hours in a special UV suit because he was very jaundiced and he was also fed via a tube through the nose to top up his feed."
