Murder suspect remains in hospital
A 56-year-old man arrested for murder after a woman was stabbed to death in Torquay remains in hospital, Devon and Cornwall Police said yesterday. The body of the 54-year-old woman was found in a house at Shelley Avenue on Thursday morning. The man, thought to be her husband, was arrested at the property. It is believed the suspect had earlier taken an overdose and he was admitted to Torbay Hospital where he remains under police guard.
