NANPEAN were really looking to take all three points from their home clash against relegation rivals Callington. But, on the balance of play, the draw was probably a fair result.

Callington took the lead with a goal from Lucas Skol while Nanpean were left reflecting on reasonable opportunities which John Docherty, Dave Hooper and Glynn James failed to put away. Nanpean upped their game after the interval and Docherty took advantage of a chance created by James to level the scores.

Callington regained the lead through Joe Partridge but James saved a point in stoppage time.

Callington had been denied a penalty claim by Lee Wicketts and the frustration resulted in Jake Benny being shown the red card.

Man of the match: John Docherty (Nanpean).
