National Lottery grant funds Nancledra School playground
Grants from the National Lottery Good Causes have helped one school in west Cornwall invest in outdoor activities for its own children and those in the wider community.
Nancledra School has received funding numerous times, enabling it to build a playground, tennis court and climbing equipment on the site.
Head teacher, Rick Gill, said the new facilities, which are open to the public in evenings, weekends and holidays, have had a huge impact on the community.
He added: “Because this is a rural school, our children don’t have the same access to facilities that children in other parts do. Outdoor education is one of the most important things.
