Nature reserve visitors can see improvements at weekend open day
PICTURESQUE Steeple Woodland Nature Reserve near St Ives will hold its annual open day on Sunday .
The volunteer-managed reserve has been transformed over a period of years through the efforts of the local community.
Volunteers, groups and schools have restored the area around Knill's Monument, previously overgrown with rhododendrons, to young woodland and heath.
The Steeple Woodland Project is now inviting people to come along on Sunday and find out more about the wildlife and history of the reserve.
