Careful driver was over limit
A POLICE officer who followed and stopped a car he felt was being driven overcautiously found the 70-year-old driver was over the drink-drive limit.
Robert John Sanders later gave a urine sample which revealed 125mcg alcohol per 100 millilitres; the legal limit is 107mcg.
At Truro Magistrates' Court Sanders, of Trevellas, St Agnes, admitted drink-driving at Perranporth on June 19.
Gail Hawkley, for the prosecution, said he was also driving with an expired provisional licence.

His solicitor Alex Blair said Sanders had been out with his partner, not intending to drive, when she received distressing news and wanted to return home. He decided to drive, believing he was below the limit.
Sanders was fined £110 with £105 costs and surcharge and was banned from driving for 13 months.
