Navy finds two unchartered shipwrecks
A Plymouth-based Royal Navy ship has kicked off a nine-month mission by discovering two unchartered shipwrecks in one of the world's busiest ports.
HMS Enterprise, a specialist survey ship, used its new independent launch, the Spitfire, to find the sunken dhows near Port Rashid Harbour in Dubai.
Commander Derek Rae, Enterprise's captain, said the wrecks had been discovered during a training exercise, said.
"The level of detail visible on the wrecks shows the impressive capability of the new survey motor boat, and the opportunity afforded to us by the local authorities in Dubai to conduct this survey training has been invaluable.

The Spitfire can be sent off independently to gather data at the same time as the mother ship – effectively doubling the Enterprise's capacity to chart seas.
After trials in the UK and around Souda Bay in Crete, Dubai offered its first real test with Spitfire working with Enterprise to scan the ocean floor.
