Navy frigate marks her 20th birthday
Plymouth-based Royal Navy warship HMS Montrose celebrated the 20th anniversary of her launch. The Type 23 frigate was launched at Yarrow shipbuilders on the Clyde in 1992, and the ship's company decided to celebrate her birthday. Cake was cut with a ceremonial sword by Warrant Officer 'Chats' Harris, who shares a birthday with the ship and Engineering Technician Nick Pearce, who at 20, is closest in age to the vessel.
