New coat of paint gives play area a fresh look
A WADEBRIDGE playground has been given a makeover thanks to a paint donation from the Dulux Let's Colour Project.
St Issey Play Park, on Sentry Close, has been a safe place for local families to play and relax for ten years and is situated next to St Issey Church of England School.
The playground is popular with the schoolchildren but needed brightening up after a decade of wear and tear.
Six local volunteers painted the playground equipment and school gate after chairman of Issey in Bloom, Brenda Wright, nominated the project online.
"The play park is looking bright, colourful and welcoming and we're really pleased with the finished result," Brenda said.
"We'd like to thank Dulux Decorator Centre in Truro for its kind donation which has made such a difference."
The Let's Colour initiative is aimed at bringing colour to "grey areas around the world".
