New hopes of the UK jazz scene try West audiences

Hotly tipped new hopes of the UK jazz scene, Moonlight Saving Time are acclaimed for their bold improvisations encompassing atmospheric grooves and world rhythms to create a unique contemporary sound.
With influences ranging from Chick Corea to Massive Attack, the band, led by vocalist Emily Wright and featuring acclaimed trumpeter Nick Malcolm, offer a strikingly fresh take on established jazz repertoire, as well as thoughtful and melodic original compositions.
Spreading their wings further to play shows in Devon and Cornwall as part of an outing supported by the Routes South West touring scheme, they will be in Calstock on Friday and at Plough Arts Centre, Great Torrington next Saturday.
