A NEWQUAY model has become the new face of Cornish fashion label, Kernow Clothing.

Lisa-Ann Hillman, who shot to fame recently after starring on TV show Britain's Next Top Model, has been chosen as the independent brand's new face.

Kernow Clothing owners Darren and Tara Williams said they were searching for someone with a "touch of Cornish magic".

They said: "All of our products are Fairtrade, organic and Soil Association approved so we wanted a natural model whose look reflected our ethical approach.

"It was essential that the model came from Cornwall and that they were proud of this fantastic county, so Lisa-Ann ticked all the boxes!"

Kernow Clothing, formed in 2001, is an independent clothing company that produces organic hoodies and T-shirts.

Lisa-Ann has had a busy year after beating thousands of other girls to gain a place on Living TV's show Britain's Next Top Model.

She returned to Cornwall with a renewed determination to pursue her dream of modelling.

"As soon as I heard that Kernow Clothing were looking for models I was really excited as it felt like a perfect fit for me," she said.

"Their T-shirts have fantastic slogans like 'Kernow Born and Bred' and 'Kernow Rocks' – so it is easy to feel comfortable on the shoots because I can identify with the clothes."

Lisa-Ann will now be working with the brand to get the Kernow Clothing message out to people throughout Cornwall and beyond.
