Local singer, Scarlette Von B, officially opened the new store run by Alex Orban, which is on Wesley Street near Tesco’s supermarket.
Mrs Orban said she decided to open the new store after customers of her salon in Pool Market wanted to visit her throughout the week and not just at weekends.
She is offering hair products including hairpieces, wigs, and extensions both in human and synthetic hair and accessories and gents and ladies hair cuts.

She is also providing speciality wigs and hair pieces along with scarves for people who are going through chemotherapy treatment for cancer or suffering hair loss.
Mrs Orban started selling wigs after seeing her own mother lose her hair because of chemotherapy treatment.
She said: “I know how important it is for many people having lost their hair to feel confident and to wear the right wig. I also sell night caps that are warn at night because my mum’s head used to get very cold when she was sleeping.”
She also said one mother thanked her for giving her daughter’s smile back after buying a wig at her salon, adding: “I have a 14-year-old customer who has leukaemia and needed a wig that was right for her age. She was wearing one that was too old. I managed to source her one that looked lovely and I cut it to suit her face.”
