New uniform for Big Issue sellers
PLYMOUTH'S Big Issue sellers have been given new bright orange tabards so that customers can be sure they are legitimate vendors.
The distinctive clothing also makes the homeless sellers of the charitable magazine stand out in the busy Christmas shoppers crowd.

Rhiannon Jennings, The Big Issue area manager for South West , said: "The tabards were introduced to support legitimate vendors and encourage the quieter ones to get recognised.
"Being homeless at this time of year is horrendous so it was a good time to issue them. We want to encourage the public to only buy from Big Issue sellers wearing the orange tabards."
