Newlyn art exhibition focuses on past, present and future
A NEW art exhibition in Newlyn and Penzance will feature work from ten international artists exploring concepts of past, present and future.
The exhibition, The Future's Not What It Used To Be, will show at the Newlyn Art Gallery from February 16 to April 27 and at The Exchange in Penzance from February 9 to April 13.
Work by Marjetica PotrÄ, Amie Siegel and Ged Quinn will feature exclusively at the Newlyn Art Gallery, with art by Tony Albert and Darren Almond, which will also appear at The Exchange with work by Vernon Ah Kee, Matt Bryans, Susan Hiller, Jeremy Millar and Patricia Piccinini.
Hiller, Ah Kee and Albert have focused on indigenous cultures in an attempt to better understand the past, while PotrÄ has interpreted contemporary architectural practices and the way people live together.

Siegel, Millar and Quinn have explored how historical events resonate with our understanding of the present.
Piccinini has explored the changing nature of the environment with her eye-catchign art, while Almond and Bryans have marked, manipulated and erased concepts of time in their work.
