Dobwalls make holders work hard
DOBWALLS made holders Bodmin Town work hard for their passage into this season's semi-finals with a battling display at Lantoom Park on Saturday.
Paul Andrews' division one west side, struggling for numbers with several regulars injured, cup-tied or unavailable, were in the tie for long spells without really testing Bodmin goalkeeper Kevin Miller.
Olly Brokenshire, who celebrated his 21st birthday last weekend, had given Bodmin an early boost with a superb left foot finish to make it 1-0 after 14 minutes.
But Bodmin had to wait until the 75th minute to increase their lead, with right back Lee Doel rounding off an excellent display with a goal.

And winger Luke Doddridge, a second half substitution for Shane Krac, completed the scoring with Bodmin's third goal in the last minute.
Bodmin boss Darren Gilbert said: "It was the sort of tough match we expected. On their own pitch, Dobwalls closed us down well but we did what we had to do.
"Olly scored a cracker, which settled us down early on, Chrissie Luxton hit the post twice and generally we looked comfortable despite being only a goal ahead for a long time."
Bodmin, who have won the competition for the last three seasons and haven't lost a Senior Cup tie since December 2008 when Truro City beat them 3-1, now face another division one west team in the semi-final.
Penryn Athletic will be their opponents at Wadebridge's Bodieve Park on Wednesday March 6. Gilbert said: "As long as we turn up in the right frame of mind we should be looking to be in our fourth successive final.
"But we must give them the respect they deserve otherwise we'll come unstuck."
Bodmin have knocked Penryn out of the Senior Cup for the last three seasons, in the semi-finals of 2009-10 (4-0), and in the quarter-finals of 2010-11 (2-1) and 2011-12 (6-1).
