Newquay man, 74, in court on theft and fireams charges
A 74-year-old man has been sent to Truro Crown Court on conditional bail charged with firearms offences and theft. Terence Fitt, of Tower Road, Newquay, appeared before Bodmin magistrates in custody yesterday, charged with possessing a firearm with intent to cause a fear of violence, possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm without a certificate, as well as the theft of fuel. Fitt had been arrested after police went to his home on Friday. He is due to appear at the Crown Court on February 27 for a plea and case management hearing.
