Nicky's set to unlock potential of holiday park
A HOLIDAY park is helping to unlock Cornwall's business potential and keep talent local.
Truro-based Kerdene Ltd has recruited a sales and marketing graduate through the Unlocking Cornish Potential (UCP) designed keep graduates in Cornwall.

Nicky Lott.
Over the past decade UCP has supported more than 600 businesses with recruitment and training.
Louise Oldham, Kerdene's business development manager at UCP, said: "UCP does two key things – it helps create graduate opportunities, and it also helps Cornish business to grow by helping to identify and support graduates working on business development projects."

"Kerdene wanted to bring marketing activity within the business. I felt this was an ideal project for a marketing or business graduate, which coupled with a UCP mentor or training courses, could yield some great results."
New recruit Nicky Lott studied at the University of Exeter's Cornwall Campus in Penryn and will be responsible for the sales and marketing of Kerdene's St Merryn Park near Padstow.
She said: "I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to remain in Cornwall in a role that promotes the development of the county further through the tourism trade."
Over the next few months Nicky will work with Cornish businesses, PixelRain and Liminal Design to rebrand the company and develop an online presence for Kerdene.
