From Notre Dame to No Man's Land
From a blog by Ellie and Poppy: Our trip to Paris was amazing! On October 8 we embarked on an unforgettable journey. After a long trip we arrived at our accommodation; we stayed for four sleeps in a lovely international school where they looked after us very well. We had wonderful experiences and every day was packed full of fun. On the first day we visited the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe (where we got told off by a scary warden for feeding the pigeons) and the Eiffel Tower, had dinner at the Hard Rock Café and then we went on a night-time boat trip down the River Seine. Paris looked lovely at night. Day 2 started with a visit to the beautiful Palace of Versailles. It was hard to imagine anybody living in such an extravagant building. It was interesting to see how the King and Queen of France lived. We also visited Notre Dame and the Sacré Coeur which were very surreal. Day 3 was shopping and Disney, where we went on all the amazing rides and then watched the parades. It was hard to leave Paris the next day but on the way home we went and visited the war trenches which were incredible and really made you think into the history of France. Thank you so much to Miss Stephens, Mrs Rashleigh and Mr Tremaine who made it an amazingly fun and enjoyable trip.
