Objections fail to halt plans for 69 houses
PLANS to build 69 homes on agricultural land near Redruth have been approved, despite dozens of objections.
The planning applications, from housebuilder Park Bottom Developments, is for 69 homes on "unmanaged agricultural land" east of Trevelyan Road in Park Bottom, Redruth.
The plans were approved at a meeting of Cornwall Council's area planning committee on Monday.
It is the 19th time a planning application has been submitted to build on the land.
More than 60 local people had lodged their objections on Cornwall Council's planning website.
Illogan Parish Council and Cornwall Council's children's services, which were asked to give their opinion as consultees, objected to the plans.
But Cornwall Council's highways department supported the development.
The Environment Agency also gave its support for the application, on the condition that a surface drainage water scheme is installed.
