Open gardens for charity
If you are interested in discovering wonderful gardens this year, the latest edition of the book known as "the Bible of garden visiting" is about to be published.
The National Gardens Scheme Yellow Book lists hundreds of gardens countrywide, with a substantial array from the Westcountry.

Among the NGS gardens featured in the region is the snowdrop garden at Cherubeer in Dolton, Great Torrington in North Devon (pictured above). This privately-owned garden opens for the first time this year on February 3. Call 01805 804265 for further details.
