CORNWALL councillors have been privately briefed on 12 alternative options for managing services after controversial plans for a 'joint venture' (JV) with BT stalled. Outcry over the plans to form a company to provide services such as libraries, IT and benefits cost leader Alec Robertson his position, and last month the council voted to put them on hold and asked chief executive Kevin Lavery to come up with alternatives. The options put before them this week range from doing nothing to going ahead with the JV. All the options are set to go before the full council on December 11.
