'Ozzy Osborne' to rock store's 25th anniversary
SHOPPERS at St Austell Asda will be transported back to the 1980s next week in celebration of the store's 25th birthday.
On Thursday, October 17, disco music will be playing in the shop foyer and staff will be dressing up in 1980s' frocks in honour of the milestone event. Stacey Remnant, community life champion at the store, said: "All of the staff will be dressed in 1980s' clothing – one of my colleagues is actually planning to dress as Ozzy Osbourne. That will be interesting."
Throughout the day checkout staff will be sporting party hats and local producers will be in the store giving away free samples.
"We are also holding a charity raffle. Tickets cost £1 but if you can prove you were born in 1988 you can get a free ticket," Mrs Remnant explained.
