PICTURES: Car gets caught by the tide on Polperro slipway
This car had to be lifted out of the water with a forklift truck after getting caught by the tide in Polperro.
The owner, who was thought to have come from Fowey, was away from the vehicle as the water started lapping up around the wheels earlier this afternoon.
When he returned, the driver tried to start the car, but it rolled forward, sucking in more water, according to a local shopkeeper.
Posting these pictures, PolperroNews wrote on Twitter: "Someone had better move their car from the slipway, tides coming in!"
