PM agrees to visit in 'next few months'
THE Prime Minister has announced he will visit Penzance in the next few months following an appeal from The Cornishman.
In a letter to the paper, David Cameron has pledged to travel to west Cornwall to help boost the fortunes of our high street.
The most powerful politician in the country has vowed to listen to the concerns of local people and help to get this town's economy back on track.
Although he doesn't lay out any dates for his visit in the letter, The Cornishman has been told he will journey to Penzance in the next few months.

"Politicians are often very good at talking," he wrote, "but we also need to do more listening. I want to hear from you – the people who live here – about what we can do to help get the local economy fighting fit."
He also talks of his love for Cornwall and his understanding of the challenges faced by businesses in Penzance.
He praises the resilience of the town and outlines some of the Government's own initiatives to help small businesses, including funding for the new Workbox at Penlowarth.
