Padstow Tesco staff to dress up for Cancer Research
CAPED crusaders and other superheroes will be seen at Padstow's Tesco store from Friday as staff help raise money to combat cancer.
Calling All Heroes runs from Friday to Sunday in Tescos across the country in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Staff from the Sarah's Lane superstore will be staging activities including dressing up as superheroes, sitting in a tub of baked beans and having their hair shaved off or legs waxed.
Cancer Research UK is Tesco's Charity of the Year and staff at the Padstow store aim to help it hit a £10 million fundraising target.

Store manager Kevin Phillips is one of the staff members who will be sitting in a tub of beans for the day.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for staff and customers to get involved in a fundraising event, have fun and help support Cancer Research UK's doctors, nurses and scientists beat cancer at the same time," he said.
During their partnership Tesco and Cancer Research UK will also be working together to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of cancer, reduce people's anxiety about the disease and encourage them to visit the doctor if they notice anything unusual, with the aim of helping more people survive the disease.

“I'm sure if Tesco were truly concerned about Cancer they'd stop selling fags, sugar free-drinks, red meat etc etc etc...”
