Painting and decorating takes a humorous, hip-hop diversion

Take a generous helping of classic physical comedy routines and update them for the hip-hop age and you have the exhilarating and hilarious Fhlip Fhlop by Rannel Theatre Company which is coming to Exeter's Northcott as part of the city's Laugh Out Loud Festival.

Talented performers Matt Bailey and Joey D combine witty dialogue, slapstick, laughter, breakdance, beatbox and DJ-ing to create an energetic comedy for all ages – one that took the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe by storm. As painter decorators they are doing a job in a friend's flat, but in traditional slapstick manner, things get messy.

Over the past four years, Rannel have toured and performed extensively in the UK, Australia and Northern Europe sharing their unique brand of urban skills with a comedic twist. Matt and Joey have also collaborated with the BBC creating sketches for their comedy website.
