Pair rescued from cove
TWO men were rescued from a remote cove near Porthleven after becoming cut off by the tide.
Penlee RNLI inshore lifeboat was sent to the area on Sunday after the two, thought to be holidaymakers, raised the alarm on a mobile phone.
RNLI coxswain Patch Harvey said the RIB was called out at around 4.40pm and reached the unnamed cove about half a mile north west of Porthleven in about 20 minutes.
He said the men had gone for a walk along the shore and when the tide came in they could not get around the rocks back to Porthleven or over the cliffs. The men had to walk through surf to get to the RIB.
