Parents' trauma as memorial is stolen
A memorial tree for a young car crash victim has been stolen days after being planted.
Sarah Chinn, 23, was killed in an accident on Newquay Road, Truro, between Penmount and Trispen in 2007.
Her mother Judith said the family spent years saving for a memorial which was put in place in Probus two weeks ago.
But on returning to the Chapel Street cemetery days later, they were distraught to find the carefully-selected twisted willow tree had been "yanked" from the ground and stolen.

Mrs Chinn said: "We laid Sarah's ashes up there because we have had them at home. I just wanted somewhere with her name on it, somewhere for her family and friends to go.
"When we went up there on Monday the tree was gone, it had been yanked out of the ground and the memorial stone had been pushed to one side."
