Path inquiry date is set
THE LONG-AWAITED public inquiry into proposals to create a footpath linking the Goldenbank estate in Falmouth with Swanpool is to take place in October.
Cornwall Council's modification panel agreed last year that a footpath from Swan's Reach should be created, but objections from residents living at Swanpool forced it to arrange a public inquiry.
A date has now been set for the hearing, at the St Michael's Hotel from 10am on October 17.
At a meeting of Falmouth Town Council's planning committee last week, it was agreed that Councillor Jenny Booth, who is the ward member for Boslowick, should represent the committee at the inquiry.
