Pensioner dies in latest A30 crash
A serious collision which closed the busy A30 in West Cornwall for more than six hours on Friday claimed the life of an elderly woman. Devon and Cornwall Police said the 80-year-old died on Saturday, the day after the car she was driving was in collision with another car at Loggans Moor near Hayle. The woman, who is from Essex, was airlifted to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro for treatment, but subsequently died of her injuries. Her husband was seriously injured and remains in hospital.
