PENZANCE Literary Festival is looking for some key members to ensure the future of the event.

Supporters of the festival are invited to attend a meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) at 7pm in the upstairs room at the Admiral Benbow, Chapel Street, Penzance.

The meeting will reveal this year's festival line-up and begin recruiting volunteers to help run July's event.

It will also launch a new group called Friends of Penzance LitFest.

This year the Litfest 'hub' will again be The Acorn theatre in Parade Street with a range of events put on there from Wednesday, July 17 to Sunday, July 21.

But the organisation is also looking for new blood to take over three key functions.

The organisation is looking for "an impresario" to recruit contributors and keep them happy, "a venue overlord" to organise and manage venues and "the outreach function" to nurture links with the Penzance community and run events at other times of the year.
