Penzance Salvation Army celebrates reopening of hall
AROUND 50 people attended the reopening of the Penzance Salvation Army community hall last Friday.
After listening to the Salvation Army Band perform Down The Street and The Songsters sing The Christian Mission, both pieces which depict the 150-year history of the Army, people watched Penzance Mayor Phil Rendle, cut the ribbon to officially reopen the hall before enjoying a finger buffet.
Captain Bernard Stevenson said: “We were thrilled to reopen the community hall with the mayor present.
“We look forward to using the hall imaginatively for group work and to help people in the community get to know God better.”
