Penzance police and ambulance called to motorbike accident near St Buryan

POLICE officers from Penzance and an ambulance were called to a collision that temporarily blocked a narrow country road between St Buryan and Penzance early this morning.

An Isuzu pick-up truck and a yellow trail bike were in collision at around 7.30am this morning.

The rider of the motorcyle was taken to hospital with leg injuries. No one else was hurt.

Devon and Cornwall Police say they don't expect to take any further action.

The narrow B3283 between St Buryan and Catchall was partially blocked for some time with some vehicles turning around and finding a different route into town.

Police suspect unusually icy conditions in some low lying parts of West Cornwall may have been a factor in the collision.
