Penzance teenager killed in Scottish avalanche
AN 18-year-old from the Penzance area has been confirmed as one of three climbers killed in an avalanche in the Scottish Highlands last week.
William Currie, from Newbridge, was buried under 12ft of snow when the avalanche struck last Thursday.

The former Truro College student was a member of two mountaineering groups that were making their way up the opposite sides of a gorge in the Cairngorms when the avalanche struck.
He along with the other victims, who have been identified as two off duty Royal Air Force personnel, were dug out and airlifted from the Chalamain Gap area to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but doctors were unable to save them.

A Northern Constabulary Police spokesperson confirmed the 18-year-old's identity today.
The RAF personnel were identified as Flight Lieutenant Fran Capps, 32, and Squadron Leader Rimon Than, 33, of RAF Valley in North Wales.
The incident was the latest of many accidents to have occurred on Scottish mountains in the past few weeks..
Graham Connell, 31, from Castleford, was found dead last Monday after a large scale search, while three men survived a 150metre fall in Cairngorms earlier in February.
In January four people were killed in an avalanche in Glencoe.
