Pirates' game at Newcastle called off
The Cornish Pirates' Championship match at Newcastle Falcons has been postponed due to bad weather.
The Pirates were due to play the league leaders at Kingston Park tomorrow night, but the playing surface failed a Rugby Football Union pitch inspection at 3.15pm yesterday.
The rescheduled fixture will now take place on the weekend of February 22-24, with more specific information to follow in due course.
Plymouth Albion's Championship fixture with Moseley at Brickfields is still set to go ahead, but Albion head coach Nat Saumi will not be able to call on Exeter Chiefs players Luke Cowan-Dickie, Henry Slade, Alex Brown and Will Carrick-Smith on Saturday.

The dual-registered quartet are not being released by the Aviva Premiership club to play in Albion's vital game against Moseley.
Instead, they are likely to feature in Exeter's LV= Cup game against Bath.
However, Exeter are allowing Jack Arnott, Tom Cowan-Dickie and Lloyd Fairbrother to stay with Plymouth.
"I have got three of them – Jack Arnott, Tom Cowan-Dickie and Lloyd Fairbrother – the rest are playing in the LV= Cup," Saumi said. "It [recalling dual-registered players] is something we expected it and that's why we have a squad."
Albion are also awaiting news on the state of fitness of forwards Sean-Michael Stephen, Aaron Carpenter and Harrison Tovey.
Captain Stephen has been struggling with a stiff back this week, Carpenter with a hamstring problem he picked up against Munster A in last weekend's British and Irish Cup defeat in Cork, and Tovey a neck injury picked up in the same fixture.
