New signing Ben Mercer makes his Cornish Pirates debut on Sunday as they face Welsh Premiership outfit Carmarthen Quins at the Mennaye Field (3pm), writes Dick Straughan.

The former Bath and Plymouth Albion centre gets his chance on the left wing following a reshuffle of the three-quarter line which sees Wes Davies move to full-back and Tom Cheesman come in at outside centre in place of Tom Riley.
