The Cornish Pirates have signed former club full-back Rob Cook on a short-term loan from Premiership side Gloucester to solve their selection crisis for Sunday`s Championship derby with Plymouth Albion, writes Dick Straughan.

Cook comes straight in to the side for Sunday's game at the Mennaye, replacing the injured Grant Pointer and is one of only two changes in the starting line-up after last weekend's win over Jersey.

  1. Full back Rob Cook is back with the Pirates on loan from Aviva Premiership side Gloucester.

The other change sees David Lyons start at lock with Darren Barry on the bench. Also returning to the replacements named for the game is Chris Morgan who has been out since May with a broken arm.

Plymouth Albion travel west on the back of an opening day victory over Doncaster Knights but knowing that their away form must improve after registering only a single win on the road last season.
