Plane forced to make emergency landing
A passenger aircraft carrying 44 people had to make an emergency landing at Newquay Airport. The Flybe Dash-8 plane, from Gatwick, was coming in to land when the crew reported a hydraulics fault. Seven fire crews from across the Duchy scrambled to the scene at about 9.30pm on Tuesday. The plane landed safely despite the scare, but emergency services were fearful it could catch fire once on the ground. A Flybe spokesman confirmed that nobody was hurt.
