“A STRETCHER???.... WAS THE FLARE INJURED IN THE PROCESS???.... THEN AGAIN A BLACK VEHICLE TENDS TO SUGGEST A FATALITY.... WERE THEY ACTUALLY DEALING WITH AN EX FLARE???
IT JUST GETS DAFTER THERE WAS A SIMILAR INCIDENT IN NEWLYN RECENTLY WHEN THE WOODENTOPS CLOSED OFF THE PORT TO DEAL WITH A "TORPEDO" WHICH WAS CLEARLY LABELLED AS A PRACTISE DUMMY WITH A RUBBER NOSECONE.
THE TRAWLER SKIPPER HAD PLACED IT ON THE QUAY FOR COLLECTION BUT THE SHENANIGANS OF AN IDIOT WOODENTOP PREVENTED HIM LANDING HIS FISH SO HE PICKED THE TORPEDO UP AND TOOK IT BACK ABOARD THE BOAT WHEREUPON HE WAS ARRESTED BUT LET THE ROPES GO AND SAILED OFF... YOU COULD NOT MAKE IT UP.”
