This is the image of a  man ​British Transport Police at Truro are seeking in connection with an alleged sexual assault against a 17-year-old girl.

The incident took place on the 2:20pm Falmouth Docks to Truro train on New year’s Day, but these images have only just been released. Both the victim and the man boarded the carriage at Penmere station.

The man, who is of Chinese appearance and spoke English with a foreign accent, had approached the teenager at the station and continued to intimidate her during her journey,” said PC Bob Edwards.

“He sat next to the young girl and made unwarranted advances. She left her seat and alerted the conductor. She was not hurt in anyway but she was upset by the incident.

“Offences of this sort are rare on the railways in Cornwall and we are keen to identify this man as soon as possible.”
