Police question street robbery suspect
A woman was last night being quizzed by detectives after a 63-year-old woman had her bag snatched in Devon. The 43-year-old, from Barnstaple, was arrested following a street robbery at Ilfracombe yesterday. The victim had her handbag snatched as she walked on High Street at about 8.30am. In the ensuing struggle her purse, containing a substantial amount of cash, was stolen. A police spokesman said: "The suspect was arrested a short time later and is being questioned by detectives."
