Rogue traders are operating in Cornwall according to police.

The "dubious salesmen" are selling chainsaws from the back of a van at various locations around the county.

Police said they had serious concerns regarding whether the goods sold were genuine.

Inspector Mark Richards from Truro Police said: "We have a group of dubious salesmen with Irish accents who are selling generators and chainsaws from the back of a van.

"We do have serious concerns regarding the reliability of the goods.

Inspector Richards said the men had been seen most recently in Falmouth and Fowey and were expected to continue to be on the move.

He said they were using a white Citroen van with the registration KR61 JXO.
