Tributes pour in after popular St Agnes Hotel dog Molly dies
The landlords of the St Agnes Hotel are mourning the loss of their “great companion”, Molly the dog.
Diane and Bill English have revealed that their chocolate Labrador lost her battle with cancer last Wednesday, the day after her eighth birthday.
Molly, who was born in Gloucestershire, was brought to Cornwall when she was eight weeks-old.
Since then she has been a loving pet and friend to both her owners and the people of St Agnes.

Mrs English said: ““We have so many fond memories of her. She was just a great companion and she was so knowing. She was so much a part of us and a part of the village.
“She was my companion she could sense your moods. She was so accepting and loved everybody. She was such a sincere and lovely dog.”
The landlords have said that she will be greatly missed by their regulars who used to treat her to biscuits and nibbles from the bar.
Tributes have also been pouring in for Molly on the St Agnes Unofficial Guide Facebook page.
Lorraine Holden from Port Isaac wrote: “So sad, she was always there to greet everyone. She’ll be missed. ”
Amanda Nicholls posted: “Rest easy beautiful Molly. We will miss those pretty eyes watching hopefully for a share of our pasty. Such a lovely friendly girl. Sending lots of love to all at the hotel.”
Molly has now been laid to rest in Mr and Mrs English’s garden.
