Reg Lobb was one of Cornwall's most respected and experienced horsemen.
In his younger days he had enjoyed considerable success, owning and riding point-to-pointers, as well as showing hunters.
He had been master and huntsman of three packs - the former Bolventor Harriers, Lamerton Foxhounds, and the North Cornwall Hunt, and his son Patrick and daughter Jenny had also been whips for several years. Right to the end, Reg had followed Cornish hunting.
Married to Shirley for 56 years and farming on the edge of Bodmin Moor, he took great pleasure in his family, particularly in the showing and eventing successes of his five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
