Postboxes for Ruta and Tom 'sent with love'
Plymouth's Olympic medalists have said they feel "honoured and proud" to finally have their very own postboxes acknowledging their sporting achievements.
Gold and bronze postboxes were yesterday unveiled at Plymouth Argyle's Home Park ground as a "lasting tribute" to Olympians Tom Daley and Ruta Meilutyte.

Tom said he "couldn't imagine" the sorts of things that would be posted but that he hoped to answer as many messages as possible.
Gold medallist Ruta, a Lithuanian, said: "The postboxes are really great and I'm very proud and honoured. Hopefully they will inspire children to make their dreams come true."
Plymouth City Council leader Tudor Evans told the two sporting stars he was sorry Royal Mail had not put up the boxes but the Argyle gesture came "from Plymouth, with love". Gold post boxes have been created for Britons who won Olympic gold. Tom, with a bronze and Ruta, from Lithuania, did not qualify.
Mr Evans said: "What Tom and Ruta have done for this city is magnificent."
