Preparing for Friday's party with Pudsey
Hundreds of students and schoolchildren are busy getting ready for a celebration with Pudsey as they transform The Forum at the University of Exeter into a family-friendly open party.
A packed programme of free entertainment will be broadcast nationwide, raising thousands of pounds for Children in Need on Friday.
Hosted by BBC presenters David Fitzgerald and Victoria Graham, the festivities will start at 1.30pm. Activities will include a Teddy Bear's Picnic tea party, a grand raffle, children's face painting and a variety of sports challenges. The event will feature in live broadcasts by the BBC Spotlight team as well as linking to the national TV network programme throughout the evening.
Crowds will be entertained by everything from stunts to slime, with features including stilt-walkers, circus acts, mountain bike trials and the iconic bath of beans. Spectators will be treated to live performances of music, drama and much more from University societies throughout the event, and hands-on displays will showcase the fun side of academic activities.
