Pub bash raises £1,600 for an inspirational colleague
A CHARITY night at The Central Inn in Newquay has raised more than £1,600 for a Cornish organisation that helps young people with cancer.
Assistant manager Luke Holmes said the team had been inspired by the courageous battle one of their colleagues recently fought against the disease – a battle she lost earlier this summer.

A quiz, auction and raffle – not to mention a free set by comedian Johnny Cowling – saw a total of £1,637 go to Tanya's Courage Trust.
Mr Holmes said: "We're delighted with how much we raised. Our colleague was an inspiration to us and very much missed."
