According to the council the centre will generate an extra £1.7 million a year for the town.
Joan Symons, portfolio holder for tourism, culture and leisure said: "I would like to welcome and encourage as many people as possible to attend the event, find out more information about the project and share ideas with the project team.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for Cornwall to develop a landmark building to house its own History Centre and to bring about a significant regeneration project in Redruth.
"I hope that as many people as possible will come along and take part in the event."
