Pupils coin it with Pudsey for need cause
CHILDREN in Need and its easily recognisable mascot Pudsey took centre stage last week as schools across Cornwall did their bit to raise money for the cause.
Students from Fowey Primary School painted a huge Pudsey picture before then using it as a place to stick donated coins. By the end of the fundraising push the big yellow bear was almost entirely hidden beneath a blanket of silver and copper.
Staff now have the interesting task of counting the collection to see how much has been raised for Children in Need.
St Winnow Primary School, at Lostwithiel held a pyjama and spotty clothes day that allowed children to make a small donation in return for ditching the school uniform and in some cases turning up at the school gates already dressed for bed.
